Qualifications

The Associate Occupancy Planner will be assisting Occupancy Planners with the development of migration plans and sequencing of group-level moves as well as facilitate and/or resolve planning issues identified in customer planning meetings. They will ensure that planning is aligned with corporate guidelines, and that all scenarios follow established workplace design standards. They will recommend, educate, and enforce space policies/standards, procedures and protocols and notify the Occupancy Planners of customer requested exceptions. The Associate Occupancy Planner will get familiar with space utilization methods and presenting utilization data to drive productive space, as well as ensuring that data is well documented and up to date on presentations and in our CAFM system for your projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate reporting of information, and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations.
  • Communicate with Corporate Real Estate to review and resolve planning forecast requirements, concerns and issues for assigned buildings and neighborhoods.
  • Foster relationships and partner with business unit admins and points of contact to collect headcount forecasts and resolve discrepancies in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Build stack plans and PowerPoint presentations specific to building details needed to support Strategic Planning and Sr. Planners.
  • Be meticulous about details and data.
  • Project management to review planning strategies that drive construction projects and support implementation of these projects.
  • Coordinate with move coordination and facility management teams to review and approve moves, develop migration plans and conduct facility audits; ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other members of the occupancy planning team to ensure cross campus/portfolio strategy plans are developed.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills – both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational skills, and agility.
  • Proven ability to use advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlook-up, cell calculations).
  • Ability to read architectural floor plans and perform basic AutoCAD functions.
  • Proven presentation skills with PowerPoint to tell a story.
  • Ability to read complex occupancy data and report out results.
  • Strong team player.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in space Planning, Interior Design, or Architecture of corporate office environment.
  • Previous experience in space/occupancy planning at a strategic level, plus experience with interior office renovations is highly desirable.
  • AutoCAD/CAFM system experience (Archibus experience is desirable).
