Job description

About The Team

New Verticals is an exciting team at DoorDash building and scaling new ways to delight customers beyond restaurant deliveries, including Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail.

Our Catalog, Fulfillment, and Logistics team has three major mandates: to effectively onboard merchants, fulfill every order with speed and accuracy, and improve our logistics network. We identify efficiencies, build product tooling, and launch operational processes at scale. You will own metrics, pull operational and product levers, and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail businesses.

About The Role

We are looking to build out our team with an Associate who will focus on strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Fulfillment pod. You will lead the scoping, go‑to‑market, and iteration of cutting‑edge product features to help DoorDash improve order quality across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. You will work on improving Dasher tooling and technology to make them more efficient in store. Your work will be highly visible and impactful, involving partnership with the Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in the Fulfillment, Logistics & Catalog group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position.

You’re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
  • Analyze: Work with data to drive business decision‑making. Talk to customers, unpack feedback, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Strategize: Own and deliver on improving key metrics, create quarterly and annual plans aligned with product capabilities, and identify opportunities to enhance our existing product offering and delivery quality.
  • Lead: Help lead cross‑functional work streams of Engineers, Data Scientists and Designers to develop best‑in‑class product features that enhance the quality of New Vertical deliveries.
  • Own: Embrace end‑to‑end ownership of problems, solve ambiguous problems, and motivate teammates to go above and beyond.
We’re Excited About You Because…
  • You’re analytical, data‑driven, and comfortable using Excel and visualizing data (SQL experience is a bonus).
  • You have 1–3+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food & beverage, high‑growth startups, etc.
  • You solve problems from first principles and resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
  • You operate comfortably at both high‑level strategy and low‑level detail, inspiring a team while digging into weeds.
  • You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

$74,800 — $110,000 USD (national base pay range for the United States, including Illinois and Colorado).

Benefits

DoorDash offers a comprehensive benefits package to all regular employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer matching, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, wellness benefits, commuter benefits match, paid time off and paid sick leave, 11 paid holidays, disability and basic life insurance, family‑forming assistance, and a mental health program.
