Job summary

VCA Seaside Animal Hospital in Bend, Oregon seeks a full-time veterinarian to join our four-doctor team. We service companion animals and maintain large-animal clients in the surrounding area, offering a country-doc vibe and a busy, growing practice. You will work on a rotating schedule that equates to 4 days per week.

Weekend and emergency duties are shared among doctors on a rotating basis. First-year vets receive ongoing support from experienced colleagues until confident to operate

• Willingness to work with both companion and farm animals.

Responsibilities

• Care for companion animals in clinic and on-site/off-site locations.
• Share surgery duties with the veterinary team.
• Work on a rotating 4-day schedule; weekends and emergencies shared among doctors.
• Participate in after-hours emergency coverage as needed.

Job description

FT Veterinarian. Mixed animal clinic (70/30 SA/LA). In Bend servicing companion pets and maintaining large animal clientele throughout the surrounding area. Experience Central Oregon and enjoy being a "country doc". Our busy and growing clinic offers some of everything. If this intrigues you and you are compassionate and dedicated toward both your patients and their "owners", then come join our 4 current Vets to share the adventure which is mixed animal practice.

We work on a rotating schedule which amounts to 4 days per week. Weekend and emergency duties will be shared between all doctors also on a rotating schedule.

We emphasis compassion in our care and our interactions with clients. We need you to be well spoken, compassionate and communicative with staff.

If you are a first year Vet, we will have ongoing support, at all times, by one of the experienced doctors until you feel confident to undertake duties on your own.
