Associate Mill - Lathe Machinist III / Programmer

Join us at CR Machine Co., Inc. as an Associate Mill - Lathe Machinist III / Programmer. We are seeking an energetic CNC Mill - Lathe Machinist/Programmer to expand our team in Billerica, MA. This is a 1st shift position, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools such as multi-axis lathes.
  • Handle various metal types from raw stock to finished product independently.
  • Utilize current cutting tools and machining practices.
  • Interpret customer drawings and specifications to plan work, determine speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machine operation sequences.
  • Set up and adjust machines, perform trial cuts as needed.
  • Finish metal components manually or with machines.
  • Use precision measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, profilometers, CMMs, vision systems, and dial indicators.
  • Calculate complex angles and dimensions using trigonometry and shop mathematics.
  • Employ computer software as required for programming and documentation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work well with others and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Authorized to work in the United States full-time.
  • Local candidates only; no relocation assistance available.
