Job summary

The Associate Administrative Director of the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program at Mount Sinai Health System provides coordinated leadership for applied learning, student advising, mentorship, fellowship development, capstone experiences, and professional formation activities.

Working with the MHA Director, faculty, and Career Services, the role strengthens student experience and positions the program as a practice-oriented medical center leadership program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 7-10 years of proven management ability including knowledge of institutional regulations, policies, and practices in human resources management of BU and NBU staff.
• Administrative planning and leadership skills, particularly in developing and implementing complex programs.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels within the organization.
• Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and/or administration in a medical school environment.
• Knowledge of budgeting, fiscal management, and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the MHA capstone sequence and revised culminating experience.
• Align projects and placements with program competencies and applied healthcare management practice.
• Support students in identifying project topics, sites, mentors, placements, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with the APE Coordinator on placement processes, site expectations, and documentation.
• Monitor student progress and recommend improvements based on outcomes and assessments.
• Manage and refine the yearlong MHA mentorship program with Career Services and leadership.
• Establish expectations for mentor engagement and expand the mentor network.
• Lead development of a funded MHA fellowship program and related pathways.
• Support recruitment, enrollment management, and program positioning efforts.
