As the Demand Services Procurement Manager at Colgate-Palmolive, you will own and shape the customization spend strategy for North America, supporting automation, eCommerce, and direct-to-consumer distribution initiatives. You’ll collaborate across teams and with key suppliers to maximize value and enable growth, all while championing new approaches and efficiencies. This is your opportunity to lead transformation in a high-visibility, high-impact role based in Piscataway, NJ, reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Demand Services Procurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing plans for key categories and subcategories using Colgate’s seven-step sourcing process, driving innovation and best-in-class results.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery while aligning with Colgate’s evolving business strategy.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships (SRM), oversee performance, and foster collaboration to deliver efficiency and breakthrough solutions.
  • Leverage market analysis and insights to anticipate trends, adapt strategies, and provide actionable recommendations for budget planning and category growth.
  • Drive and monitor procurement projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time and within budget; track and report on Purchasing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify tools and processes to optimize sourcing, inject supplier innovation, and increase supplier diversity within the category.
  • Lead the negotiation and implementation of major contracts, supporting business needs and compliance with company policies.
  • Occasionally travel to the New York City headquarters as part of connecting with business partners and advancing initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Business, Finance, Engineering, Packaging, or a comparable discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in procurement, packaging, logistics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and/or professional procurement certification (CPM, CPSM).
  • 2+ years of direct procurement experience, ideally with international expertise.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts greater than $6MM.
  • Hands-on experience with project management and e-procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, MS Project).
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a proven track record of impactful project delivery.
  • Success in managing supplier relationship programs for key strategic suppliers, especially in packaging or logistics.
  • Experience developing and executing multiple category strategies across spend categories.
  • Collaborative, influential, and agile mindset, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.

Compensation And Benefits

Salary Range $ - $ USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
