Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Associate Merchant in Bentonville to support category management across stores and online channels. You will assist in supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and item setup while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate product content and compelling promotions.

You will analyze data, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years’ merchandising/finance/ops experience.
• Vendor management experience and supplier negotiations desired.
• Experience supporting category strategy and merchandising goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders within assigned categories.
• Assist merchants in resolving supplier issues and facilitate setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
• Execute customer communication and education programs with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor category performance through data analysis and support budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting.
• Support item setup, pricing recommendations, and modular assortment implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
