Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Associate Merchant - Appliances to support category management through supplier negotiations, POs, and item setup for stores and online channels. You will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate product content and execute communication programs, using data to support budgeting and promotions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with merchants and vendors to implement category strategies, optimize pricing, and drive customer value across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.
• Experience in vendor negotiations and supplier management is preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders within assigned categories.
• Assist merchants in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
• Own execution of customer communication and education programs, ensuring accuracy of product page content and adherence to taxonomy guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support category features, modular assortment implementation, and promotional activities.
• Utilize data analysis tools to generate reports, track category performance, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Support item setup decisions and sample management processes for imagery and product configuration.
