St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners in St. Augustine, Florida (Northeast, FL) is looking for an Associate Medical Examiner for our District Twenty-Three Medical Examiner’s Office (St. Johns, Flagler, and Putnam counties).
The Associate Medical Examiner is responsible for performing the duties associated with medico-legal investigation of death including performing autopsies or examinations of decedents, collection, preservation, evaluation, investigation, documentation, analysis of physical evidence, and courtroom testimony.
The Associate will be joining a team that consists of a Chief Medical Examiner, 1 – Associate Medical Examiner, a Forensic Operations Manager, 4 – ABMDI certified Forensic Investigators, 3 – Forensic Technicians, and 2 – forensic administrative personnel. In 2024 the office investigated 1033 cases with 527 of those cases accepted into our jurisdiction.
This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Salary range is $260,000.00 - $293,231 annually, based on board certifications and experience.
