Associate Medical Director of Women’s Health | FT Telehealth

About the Role

The Associate Medical Director of Women’s Health is a key clinical leadership position focused on enhancing clinical quality, provider performance, and patient outcomes. This role is suited for an experienced physician who can balance administrative responsibilities with direct patient care, dedicating approximately 60% of time to leadership and 40% to clinical practice.

This full-time, W2 role is ideal for someone passionate about clinical excellence, quality improvement, mentoring providers, and scaling women's healthcare services.

What You'll Do

Administrative Duties
  • Manage a team of 15–25 physician providers.
  • Oversee provider performance metrics, improvement plans, and communication regarding clinical matters.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and support clinical questions via Slack and office hours.
  • Participate in clinical interviews and provide urgent coverage when needed.
Quality Assurance Management
  • Lead monthly QA reviews and refine quality parameters.
  • Manage adverse event reporting processes.
Clinical Education
  • Develop and maintain clinical education content and protocols.
  • Support ongoing provider education initiatives.
Clinical Duties (Approx. 15 hours/week)
  • Conduct virtual gynecological consultations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Create evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Educate and follow-up with patients, maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and adhere to telemedicine standards.

Required Experience

  • Board-certified OB/GYN (MD/DO).
  • Unrestricted medical license in practicing state(s); licenses in CA, FL, TX, NY preferred.
  • Proven clinical independence and leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of telemedicine platforms and EHR systems.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Slack, Google Suite, Zoom.

Job Requirements

  • Occasional weekend Slack coverage.
  • Availability for clinical visits during mornings/afternoons.
  • High-speed internet and a private, secure workspace.
  • Flexible hours for patient-facing telemedicine across time zones.
