Job summary

Real Chemistry is seeking an Associate Medical Director to lead high-impact scientific content that elevates medical education and patient outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver strategic, compliant communications across multiple therapeutic areas.

The role is hybrid across US offices or remote within the US, with openness to remote applicants in Ontario, Canada. Eastern US hours preferred; pay range is $110,000–$130,000.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in healthcare communications within an agency.
• Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or related discipline (PhD, MD, PharmD preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with creative teams to translate scientific content into visuals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee content development and lead medical writers within assigned therapeutic areas and accounts.
• Review and revise medical content for scientific accuracy and alignment with client strategies.
• Turn complex scientific messages into memorable stories through visuals, decks, and narratives.
• Counsel clients in the development of medical strategies and related deliverables.
• Serve as the primary medical contact for projects, guiding strategic and tactical decisions.
• Ensure deliverables meet high standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Understand project scopes, budgets, and resourcing with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to business growth by supporting new proposals and client pitches.
• Perform duties as assigned related to initiatives.
