ASSOCIATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR – DETENTION HEALTH

Contra Costa Health is looking for an Associate Medical Director who will assist the Medical Director in planning, organizing, directing and providing senior executive leadership at Detention Health. The Associate Medical Director will assist in recommending, developing, implementing and evaluating goals, objectives, policies and procedures. The Associate Medical Director will also provide patient-centered quality medical services to our diverse patient population. We have four adult and juvenile County jail facilities with a multidisciplinary team.

Detention Health is an integral part of Contra Costa Health which also includes a hospital, 11 Ambulatory Centers, Contra Costa Health Plan, Public Health and Behavioral Health just to name a few Divisions. You will be able to focus on providing full spectrum primary care and education to our vulnerable and clinically complex patients in a challenging environment and experience positive work-life balance. • Salary Range $287,552.40 - $349,521.72 Annually
• 40-hour work week; Flexible scheduling with 8 and 10-hour shifts available
• Weekend shift rotations are available
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinic Hours plus optional Call opportunities; telehealth

Licenses/Certifications:

• Unrestricted current medical license, certification or registration in CA with DEA licensure
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or Correctional Medicine
• Three years of full-time experience, or its equivalent, in the practice of medicine. One year in a responsible administrative capacity applicable for the assignment is desirable.
• Experience in Pain Management, Palliative Care, Addiction Medicine, Geriatrics, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Hospital Medicine is highly desirable.
