Jackson Health System is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our Jackson Medical Group. The role combines hospital-based service with outpatient follow-up for patients with advanced heart failure at Jackson Memorial and Jackson North Medical Center.

You will lead evaluation and management, participate in call coverage, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Requires board certification in cardiovascular disease and Florida license, with AHA/ACLS

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.
• DEA and board certification or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease are required.
• AHA/ACLS certification for Healthcare Providers with at least 6 months validity.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evaluation, diagnosis, management, and ongoing care of patients with congestive heart failure at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Jackson North Medical Center.
• Provide continuous, high-quality medical care aligned with Jackson Health System standards, including direct patient care, consultation, and clinical decision-making.
• Deliver inpatient cardiology services, including management of acute and chronic heart failure cases.
• Conduct outpatient follow-up clinics three times per week, ensuring continuity of care for recently discharged and established CHF patients.
• Participate in call coverage as part of the cardiology service line.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes and care transitions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice within the heart failure program.

Jackson Health System is seeking a dedicated Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our heart failure team, providing high?quality inpatient care and ongoing outpatient follow?up for patients with advanced heart failure. This role includes a blend of hospital-based service and outpatient clinic responsibilities, with required call coverage.

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required

Experience

Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. Graduating fellows are welcome to apply

License/Certification

Valid Florida Medical License.
DEA and board certification or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
