Job summary

PsychPros, Inc. is seeking a Board-Certified Associate Medical Director (Addiction Medicine) to provide clinical leadership and direct patient care in a growing addiction treatment program in Western North Carolina.

The role partners with the Medical Director to oversee medical detoxification, evaluations, and coordination with nursing and behavioral health teams; on-call rotation every other week; and ensuring CARF compliance and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active medical license in North Carolina and South Carolina.
• Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry, or ASAM Certified.
• Significant experience treating patients with substance use disorders.
• Experience managing medical detoxification, co-occurring disorders, and recovery-oriented treatment programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for delivering compassionate, ethical, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and physician oversight with the Medical Director.
• Provide outpatient medical care for assigned patients.
• Conduct medical evaluations, histories, physical examinations, and detoxification services.
• Collaborate with nursing and behavioral health teams for coordinated patient care.
• Participate in an every-other-week on-call rotation.
• Lead and participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary treatment meetings.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and community partners.
• Ensure compliance with CARF standards, regulatory requirements, and clinical best practices.
