Description

The Medical Assistant (MA) I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs are met through both administrative and clinical duties. An MA I is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
• At least one year of work experience as a medical assistant including clinical skills like obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, or
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months prior experience providing high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• 6 months experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

The pay range for this role is $23.00 - $31.82 per hour, with potential additional compensation such as shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses.
