Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Group is seeking an Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) to support basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. The role combines administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.

You will perform vital sign checks, injections, and medication administration while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. A strong focus on patient-centered care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school with hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Military medical training or at least 1 year of MA-related clinical experience (vital signs, injections, medication administration); must have BLS within 30 days of hire.

Description

The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training Graduate of a school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or Minimum one year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
• 6 months Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• 6 months Experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
