Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in the United States seeks an Associate Mechanical Engineer to contribute to flight vehicle and mechanical systems design. You’ll participate in detailed part and assembly design for aircraft structures and installations.

You will support layout development, prepare engineering drawings, and coordinate with Tooling, Manufacturing, and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost, under guidance from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations.
• Engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design.
• Engineers will be responsible for research, development of layouts, preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
