Job summary

Accelevation LLC in Miamisburg, OH is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and production of electrical switchboards and switchgear. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks, prepare fabrication drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with electrical engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs that meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 0–2 years of mechanical design or manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D modeling and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the mechanical design of low‑voltage and medium‑voltage switchboards and switchgear enclosures.
  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Support senior engineers with product development, engineering changes, and design improvements.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical designs meet project and customer requirements.
  • Work with the production team to address manufacturing and assembly issues.
  • Ensure engineering drawings and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with prototype testing, product validation, and design reviews.
  • Follow company engineering standards, quality procedures, and project schedules.

Position Summary
