Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Mason, Ohio seeks an Associate, Mechanical Engineer to support new product development and existing product manufacturing, applying mechanical engineering principles to translate requirements into specs and test plans.

The role requires working with CAD models, performing structural and thermal analyses, executing verification tests, and processing ECOs while aligning with customer needs and security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's degree Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering or have completed their bachelor's degree within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support of existing products.
• Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan to be used for development.
• Execute verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification and test plan.
• Conduct design analysis and testing, both structural and thermal, to prove design will meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for understanding customer needs, generating test procedures and finally executing the test.
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required.
• Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.

Job Description:
