ROLE

Ready to help shape the future of materials? We're looking for a bold, talented and collaborative Associate Material Engineer to accelerate our product development. You'll join a fast-moving, interdisciplinary team of five exceptional scientists and engineers, working at the forefront of innovation to bring Gencores breakthrough material to the industry.

Your essential responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct wet-laboratory experiments to synthesize Gencores novel material.

  • Perform mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing on various formulations to evaluate their properties and performance.

  • Lead the fabrication of a line of products for define customer.

  • Collect, record, and analyze experimental data using statistical tools. Present data and findings to the Senior R&D team and other stakeholders.

  • Support scaling up of lab-developed materials to pilot production levels.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

  • Manage inventory of lab supplies and materials.

Your experience or skills - These points are not hard requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on troubleshooting experience solving real-time processing issues

  • Proficient in experimental design, material formulation, characterization methods and process optimization

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Materials Science, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory or R&D setting.

  • Hands-on experience with material characterization techniques and equipment.

  • Experience with processing units such as 3D printing, twin screw processing, molding is preferable.
