Job summary

Storck USA is seeking a product management lead for Mamba Fruit Chews within the US marketing team. You will drive brand strategy, manage cross-functional projects, and develop plans to grow volume and profitability for Mamba.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in consumer packaged goods marketing or product management, is data-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative. Hybrid work in downtown Chicago and travel up to 10% are required.

Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with data analytics; ability to translate data into a story.
  • Knowledge of IRI and/or Nielsen data and software preferred.
  • Consumer / business curiosity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipment and consumption data, identify patterns and provide outlook and recommendations to drive business performance and brand health.
  • Initiate and perform business analyses, identify issues and opportunities and make recommendations by turning data into insights.
  • Lead monthly business assessments and complete sales analyses including new item updates and promotions.
  • Assess brand strategy and media performance; lead cross-functional projects with clear timetables and milestones.

General Summary

This individual is a part of the US marketing team and will serve as the product management lead for Mamba Fruit Chews, the fastest growing Fruit Chew brand in America. Executes specific tasks and manages projects within brand strategy in support of marketing objectives. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing plans to drive volume and profitability of Mamba, both individually and through leading cross-functional teams.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, and a team player, who has two to five years of related marketing and/or product management experience, preferably within the consumer-packaged goods industry.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Analytics


  • Manage shipment and consumption data, identify patterns and provide outlook and recommendations to drive business performance and brand health

  • Initiate and perform business analyses, identify issues and opportunities and make recommendations to Marketing Manager/Director by turning data into insights and stories to drive growth

  • Lead monthly business assessments.

  • Complete sales analysis such as new item updates, promotional and distribution analyses, and merchandising effectiveness.

  • Assess brand strategy including SWOT Analysis (Strength, Weakness, Threat, Opportunities), and media performance.


Business Management


  • Develop and manage volume and spending forecasts and make recommendations to Marketing Manager/Director of yearly volume, annual budget/spending, and process recommendations.

  • Track brand forecasts and brand marketing expenses throughout the year to manage within the given budget.

  • Lead cross-functional teams on assigned projects, developing and managing timetables and milestones, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and managing outside suppliers (e.g., agencies/vendors). Projects such as: commercialization, marketing programs, media performance, portfolio optimization, etc.


Marketing Planning


  • Lead annual brand review to aid in development of marketing plans.

  • Assist the Marketing Manager/Director in developing the annual marketing plan.

  • Execute delegated portions of the marketing plan within the budget and on time.

  • Manage vendors in development of creative marketing materials/programs including packaging, selling materials, advertising, displays, sweepstakes and coupons

  • Act as liaison between Ad Agencies and Marketing Manager/Director as needed to develop/revise advertising and marketing programs.

  • Partner with Market Research/Insights on research projects to support marketing objectives and brand strategies.

  • Collaborate with sales and category insights on the development of key marketing programs as it relates to selling materials, marketing investment, creative execution, and analysis of program success

  • Understand and help develop channel and pricing strategies and develop programs and products to support key customers.

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in Marketing preferred

  • 2-5 years related experience, consumer packaged goods experience strongly preferred.


Working Conditions

Hybrid Work Model, including Monday and Friday Work from Home, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in normal working conditions for an office environment in downtown Chicago, IL.


Travel

Minimal 5-10%, Including International Travel

Must be willing to follow and comply with communicated Company, Travel, and Retailer safety procedures, which may include COVID-19 testing or following other safety procedures in order to attend meetings, travel domestically or internationally, comply with Retail Partner safety procedures, and/or follow other workplace health and safety requirements to fulfil job duties.


What We Offer

The salary range for this position is USD $100,000-$115,000 annually at the time of this posting. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This position is also eligible for bonus pay.
