Position Summary:


The Associate Director, Channel Development - Planning and Execution is responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing programs pertaining to the specific customers within the GPO, Distribution, Government, IDN, OPM and Hospital Care channels. This position assists and supports Solution Management counterparts in an effort to maximize sales and profit within the various marketplaces. Supports customer marketing efforts and requires collaboration and partnership with Solution Management and Sales leadership as well as Strategy to execute. Reporting to the VP of Channel Development, this role will also provide insights and guidance to the product marketing and sales regarding marketing to the existing channel customers.


Responsibilities: Essential Duties




  • Drives continuous commercial marketing strategy and execution for Patient Safety and Sustainability across B. Braun portfolios.

  • Leads downstream program and project activities for related channel marketing activities at all levels (i.e. GPO, DEHP, etc)

  • Executes key business channel marketing strategies and tactics to support profitable growth.

  • Analyzes program effectiveness and reports key performance metrics on an ongoing basis.

  • Develops and deliver tools to support our customers ongoing needs, including but not limited to marketing materials, campaigns, and other key resources.

  • Manages partner marketing programs, marketing relationships, and/or professional association or trade events.

  • Leads all marketing updates for their perspective area of business.

  • Responsible for ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration in all business areas.

  • Actively shares and transfers your subject matter expertise for the market area you serve.

  • May collaborate globally and/or may have global dotted line reporting to ensure full alignment on key strategic and tactical development for your key area of focus.

  • May have direct reports who support strategic business initiatives.

  • Designs and implements short-term channel marketing plans.

  • Supports the development of long-term channel marketing plans.

  • Contributes to the development of annual revenue & profitability plan.

  • Maintains relationship with sales leadership to ensure marketing messages align with key sales objectives.

  • Develops strategic plans to drive sales through the customers and to deepen engagement with customer partners.

  • Incorporates marketplace, industry trends, customers, and competitors to develop a clear vision for channel segment.

  • Collaborates with HEOR to develop the value proposition, value story, and messages to support channel marketing efforts.

  • Collaborates with pricing to develop a pricing and contracting strategy to effectively manage market competitiveness.

  • Collaborates with Insights to drive activities that will maximize sales, defining and tracking metrics to measure the profitability of customer channel segments.

  • Working with all other company marketing personnel, defines and implements promotional activities designed to meet the needs of key, high value customer segments within the Non-acute market space.

  • Collaborates with Marketing Communications in the development of both internal and external communication programs, i.e. sales bulletins, voicemails, newsletters, corporate identity, public relations activities, customer engagement and social media strategy.

  • Maintains an active field travel schedule to regularly meet with key customers, sales personnel, vendors, and consultants.

  • Prepare a monthly report for management on the development, implementation and ROI of customer marketing efforts, updating attainment of goals and objectives.

  • Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

  • Experience leading and/or facilitating cross-functional or organizational groups.

  • Ability to collaboratively problem-solve and quickly drive towards successful issue resolution.

  • At ease conducting analysis and presenting information and findings clearly, concisely and accurately.

  • Ability to draw meaningful conclusions and indicated actions, and set performance benchmarks.

  • Knowledge of mathematics/statistical principles.

  • Knowledge of GPO contract structure and strategies.

  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare distribution channels.

  • Knowledge of industry chargebacks and rebates.

  • Ability to prepare and present executive reports at managerial briefings.

  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.



Expertise: Qualifications -Experience/Training/Education/Etc


Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing in pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices within the healthcare field.

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in managing people and resources.

  • Principles of Marketing, technical product information, product selling/demonstration skills, office procedures, departmental policies, management theories.

  • Proven experience as a marketing leader, product launches, sales, and/or strategic planning.

  • Base knowledge of US Hospital Care, Out Patient Markets and Health Systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of B. Braun's products and services, especially within the solution line.

  • Business travel - 40%

  • Valid driver's license

  • Passport

  • Secrecy and intervention program


Desired:




  • MBA

  • Experience in the marketing of medical devices, IV therapy, and/or drug therapy products.

  • Experience in the sales of medical products as a Sales Representative or Region Manager.

  • Experience managing products and product solutions.
