Position Summary
As an Associate Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift) in the Core Stacking department, you will be responsible for conducting mechanical assembly, disassembly, and installation activities related to the production of power transformers.
Hours: 4:00 p.m.-12:30 p.m. (CST)
Essential Functions
- Perform manufacturing tasks such as loading and unloading machinery, operating non-CNC equipment, including gluing, clamping, painting, coating, testing, and oil filling.
- Assemble and disassemble parts, position, align, and fasten assemblies using hand and power tools per specifications.
- Measure and adjust parts with scales, calipers, and micrometers.
- Inspect, verify, and document quality to ensure units meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Connect, crimp, solder, and braze internal leads and wiring per specifications.
- Wrap, tape, or insulate leads and wires as instructed.
- Perform electrical tests to confirm proper wiring and insulation.
- Follow prints, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions for processing and assembly.
- Disassemble units for part replacement or shipping.
- Fabricate wooden parts, fixtures, and packaging for delivery.
- Operate equipment for vacuuming, oil filling, and recovery safely.
- Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies.
- Handle and store materials safely.
- Follow standard work procedures to meet safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards.
- Perform TPM tasks as directed.
- Practice 6S and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment like cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Assist other manufacturing areas as needed.
- Support Supervisors or Managers.
- Understand and follow Hyosung HICO policies and safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with less than two years of training/experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Intermediate mechanical/technical skills.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Basic math and geometry skills.
- Basic computer skills, especially MS Office.
- Basic knowledge of industrial measuring tools.
Physical and Mental Characteristics
- Safe use of tools and measurement devices.
- Ability to work at heights and climb stairs.
- Ability to inspect work and follow instructions.
- Operate powered equipment like forklifts and cranes.
- Work in indoor temperatures.
- Stand/walk 6-8 hours daily, perform various physical movements, work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use PPE as required.
