Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering Team in Palmdale, CA. The role requires a hands-on approach to solve complex problems and promote a proactive teamwork environment on the production floor.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree and a U.S. Government Secret clearance within the last five years, with strong communication skills to interface with leadership and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in assembly/fabrication in a production manufacturing operation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Active in-scope U.S Government Secret security clearance (recent).
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
• Strong communication with leadership, clients, and vendors.
• Ability to work 1st shift 5am-3:30pm.
• Physical demands including lifting 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Engineering regarding design concepts to ensure best manufacturing techniques.
• Participate in tool design reviews to reduce build times and costs.
• Define sequence of operations for product builds and initiate corrective actions.
• Provide liaison support to influence low production costs across systems.
