Job summary

Singularity is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to own the integrity of the production process from prototype to full-rate manufacturing in Gardena, CA. You will bridge design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure repeatable, efficient builds and reliable products for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 0–1 years in manufacturing, quality, or reliability engineering; aerospace/defense preferred.
• Internships highly preferred.
• Experience designing fixtures/tools with SolidWorks/Creo is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical/electromechanical builds and test setups.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, FMEA/PFMEA, SPC, and reliability methods.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP and PLM systems (NetSuite, Odoo, Arena).
• Strong communication skills and bias toward action.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement processes for reliable hardware builds at scale.
• Participate in prototype and production builds to validate processes, tooling, and instructions.
• Lead RCAs and CAPAs for production issues.
• Collaborate with design to apply DFM/DFA for reliability.
• Develop and optimize workflows, tooling, fixtures.
• Create build docs, travelers, and visual aids.
• Work hands-on with technicians on the floor.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to scale production.
• Define QC/inspection plans.
• Establish inline and end-of-line test protocols.
• Implement SPC and process capability metrics.
• Maintain traceability and compliance with standards.
