Job summary

MKS Vacuum Solutions Division is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to partner with Engineering and product development teams for new designs and quick-turn production demands. You will manage prototype manufacturing resources, equipment maintenance, and a clean, organized environment in a fast-paced setting.

  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer at MKS Vacuum Solutions Division, you will partner with Engineering and related product development teams by closely working in the development and production of new product designs and quick turn production demands. Additionally, you will develop responsibility for management of all prototype mfg resources including material procurement, maintenance schedules of equipment and a clean organized environment.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Act efficiently to develop production methods and routines to generate new product designs
  • Implementation and Control of Manufacturing Documents (Work Instructions, Tool Drawings, Process Drawings, etc.).
  • Estimate manufacturing cost, review/update time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing products.
Skills You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Safety and Lean Continuous Improvement.
  • Understanding of analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
  • Ability to collaborate with design engineers, program managers, Technical Ops and manufacturing leads.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of solid modeling and Tool/Fixture Design. Experience with Oracle and Agile.
  • Familiarity with Product Engineering, Product Design Reviews and ECR/ECO systems, BOM structure and Engineering Documentation.
Preferred Skills:
  • Working ability to create 3D models and documents in SolidWorks or similar.
  • Familiar with CNC Machining and CNC programming (CamWorks, Fusion360, MasterCAM)
  • Interest in robotics for manufacturing.
  • Understand principles of DFM and DFA.
  • Experience with Mechanical Assembly.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • May require manual dexterity and coordination of objects in normal range.
  • Occasionally may move or position objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment.
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical hardware.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually average.
