Position Summary:

This position provides technical support for machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes, including automation of material movement and machine capability.

Supports Agiliti’s manufacturing excellence strategy by delivering operational results across the manufacturing plant and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize production efficiency.

Responsibilities Include:

• Participate effectively in design reviews for new and existing products with Design Engineering, making recommendations to improve manufacturing, cost, quality, and schedule.
• Design or recommend equipment, assembly aids, and tooling required for manufacturing.
• Develop, plan, and coordinate shop or assembly line layouts to improve material flow, increase capacity, and optimize existing processes.
• Investigate, select, justify, and procure manufacturing tools and capital equipment to enhance production, analyzing methods for cost reduction.
• Serve as the manufacturing liaison between Engineering and Production for new product introduction and sustaining engineering.
• Provide shop floor engineering support in problem solving, tooling, and equipment issues.
• Ensure manufacturing instructions and standard work are accurate and reflect actual processes; provide data to measure process performance.
• Support troubleshooting efforts by analyzing and correcting process and equipment issues.
• Control automation files, routing, and work instructions.
• Manage multiple project priorities efficiently, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications:

• Maintain current knowledge of manufacturing process advances, automation, and material sciences.
• CAD skills for creating fixtures, tools, and assembly aids.
• Ability to produce high-quality, accurate work promptly to meet schedules.
• Participate in teams to enhance operations.
• Engage in various project assignments as directed.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience in machining, fabrication, welding, or mechanical assembly.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Knowledge of metrology and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and CMM.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial technology, manufacturing, mechanical, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience (5+ years).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Perform repetitive operations.
• Lift up to 35 lbs.
