Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Associate Manager to join the Strategy & Operations team. You will define and implement strategic initiatives to reduce fraud, accelerate growth, and protect the platform.

This role requires strong data-driven thinking and the ability to work across product, engineering, and analytics teams. You will analyze fraud vectors end-to-end, set ambitious goals, and run experiments to improve the user experience for consumers, dashers, and merchants.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in management consulting, strategy, bizops, investment banking or analytics.
  • Experience leading large projects and meeting goals.
  • Bachelor degree required.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement DoorDash’s strategy in new areas and deliver direct business impact.
  • Analyze fraud vectors across the platform end-to-end to identify bad actors and improve user experience.
  • Partner with product, engineering, analytics and cross-functional teams to set goals and build programs.

About the Team

The Strategy & Operations team is looking for an Associate Manager to reduce the cost of fraud, accelerate growth, and build solutions to protect our platform from would-be fraudsters. You’ll specifically be focused on creating our strategy and executing against ambitious goals to prevent fraud and accelerate growth. You'll grow familiar with our three audiences — Consumers, Dashers and Merchants. Most importantly, you'll help promote the delicate balance between providing our users the best experience possible while keeping bad actors at bay.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.


In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).


The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado. $105,400 - $155,000 USD
