Job summary

DXC Technology in Bath, ME, is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to guide a team of engineers in delivering software products and solutions on-site.

You will mentor engineers, review code, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and help shape the software engineering strategy while managing tasks, timelines, and budgets to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and development methodologies.
• Strong programming and debugging skills.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,400 - $156,800.
