Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn and report how planning/scheduling handles daily and long-term plant needs.
• Administer maintenance function with shared responsibility among Operations Managers.
• Report on maintenance training direction and monitor progress of team members.
• Provide leadership, support and development for each team member.
• Coordinate staffing within the Department to meet plant objectives and improve maintenance.

Position Summary

Since the doors opened in 1972, our Atlanta factory has grown dramatically into a state-of-the-art facility. With safety at the forefront of our minds, our Atlanta factory proudly and passionately produces 460,000 tons a year of our dry pet food brands, including Alpo®, Beneful®, Cat Chow®, Dog Chow®, Friskies®, Purina ONE®, and Pro Plan®. Our factory also does its part for the environment by conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, maintaining zero waste for disposal and more. This plant location is situated along the southern crescent of Metro Atlanta—an area that nearly 6 million residents and many of our associates call home. Aa an Associate Maintenance Manager, you\'ll be responsible for administering the maintenance function of plant facilities and equipment with shared responsibility among Operating Department Managers for specific daily maintenance in their respective areas. Training alongside the factory Maintenance Manager, you’ll learn all aspects of their leadership position while expanding your skill set.

• Learn and report on how planning and scheduling is utilized to handle the daily and long-term needs of the Plant Operations
• Show ability to administer the maintenance function of plant facilities and equipment with shared responsibility among Operating Department Managers for specific daily maintenance in their respective areas
• Report on existing direction for maintenance training efforts for all Department members and monitor activities to ensure the advancement of individuals is consistent with team goals
• Provide the leadership, support, and training necessary for the development of each team member as a valued and critical resource
• Coordinate staffing requirements within the Department consistent with plant objectives and monitor and promote activities that will prove effective for improving maintenance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• 3 years of supervisory experience

Other

• Journeyman status, engineering or related education is preferred
• Open to relocation to one or more of our 25 facilities across the U.S. for future advancement

The approximate pay range for this position is $89,140.00 to $117,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
