Job summary

Pizza Hut in Plano, TX is seeking a senior supply chain leader to shape global category strategy for 15k restaurants across 100+ markets. You will strengthen supplier partnerships, improve franchisee economics, and drive regional alignment to sustain growth.

The role partners with suppliers, franchisees and regional teams to drive procurement excellence, supply continuity, risk management, and value creation across a complex franchise ecosystem, including governance and ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of supply chain experience in food industry or similar.
• 5+ years in global/regional strategic category management/procurement.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills across a global business.
• Strong written and verbal communications and ability to gain buy-in at all levels in a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive global category management incl. category strategy, supply assurance, spec alignment, capacity building, and cost savings/avoidance
• Partner closely with regional supply chain teams and franchisees to drive participation, alignment, and adoption of regional and global sourcing strategies through strong commercial partnership, stakeholder influence, and value-based engagement
• Ensure supply continuity and operational resilience across a dynamic multi-country supply network, including proactively mitigating geopolitical, inflationary, commodity, logistics, and operational risks impacting the region
• Build SCM capabilities & process excellence to drive world-class category management practices (i.e. cost modelling, commodity intelligence, supplier relationship management, technology enablers)
• Build compelling, data-driven business cases that improve franchisee economics, operational efficiency, and long-term system value
• Own strategic supplier relationships and develop new supplier partnerships to drive competitive advantage and ensure Pizza Hut is a customer of choice. Elevate partnerships to unlock value and growth for Pizza Hut, including leading negotiations, capacity and business continuity planning & supporting LTOs/innovation
• Drive governance, compliance, and adherence to Pizza Hut standards
• Drive specification harmonization & optimization in collaboration with regional brand teams
• Champion sustainability initiatives within Pizza Hut supply chain and ensure long term ESG goals are embedded into category & sourcing strategies

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

This is a highly visible global role responsible for shaping Pizza Hut’s supply chain strategy to support the brand, which includes >15k restaurants across over 100 markets. This leader will play a pivotal role in Pizza Hut’s next chapter of growth through strengthening supplier partnerships, improving franchisee economics, increasing regional alignment, and driving sustainable competitive advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role serves as a strategic partner to supplier partners, franchisees, regional supply chain teams & cross-functional teams - driving procurement excellence, supply continuity, risk management, operational resilience, and long-term value creation across a highly complex franchise ecosystem.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8+ years’ experience in supply chain roles, ideally within food industry or related field
• 5+ years’ experience of global / regional strategic category management / procurement
• Strong leadership skills; prepared to influence stakeholders, challenge status quo, and drive change
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Excellent communication and partnership skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners across the global business
• Strong communications (presentation, verbal, writing) and ability to gain buy-in & influence key stakeholders at all levels in a global organization
• High levelof intellectual curiosity
• Strong analytical skills with experienceleveragingspend analytics, procurement technologies, and data-driven decision-making tools.
