J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Associate Manager to join our leadership team in New York. You will drive store profitability by fostering customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, while coaching teammates to perform at their best.

You will own a key area of the business (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling) and collaborate with the Store Director to exceed goals, recruit and train staff, and create a welcoming, high‑performing environment for all

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time retail management experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and brand commitment.

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Ensure the team is on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor as needed.

Job Summary

As an Associate Manager, you are a key member of the leadership team. You'll provide immediate feedback and coaching to maximize team performance. While you will own a key area of the business, you will also be expected to step into other roles to maintain operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability.

• Partner with Store Director and management team to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team is always on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Come up with innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Can step into a variety of roles on the sales floor, if needed.

Who You Are

• Have 3+ years of full-time retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
• Have scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry and move at least 40 pounds | 18 kilos.

Hourly Range: $29.25 - $36.50
