Job description

If you are a Maintenance Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting position for you! Based in our Shakopee facility.

This is a 3-day Weekend shift position with hours of operation Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm. This position allows you to apply your troubleshooting skills to perform maintenance and repair of complex production machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Prioritizing safety while working in a production environment.
  2. Practicing safe work habits using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  3. Performing basic preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
  4. Using engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
  5. Utilizing hand tools, including drills, measuring tools, taps, and presses.
  6. Managing maintenance tasks with tracking software (CMMS).
  7. Supporting all areas of production as part of a flexible team, moving between areas based on business needs.
  8. Demonstrating basic repair, troubleshooting, and mechanical and electrical skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Automatic Systems and Robotics, Electronics Technology, or related field.
  • Zero (0) years of related experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts (Fri, Sat, Sun, 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Maintenance or related experience.
  • Enjoys problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
