We are hiring a full-time Associate Maintenance Mechanic in Larimore, ND. Eligible candidates can receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Starting pay depends on experience, beginning at $16/hour.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for light maintenance, repair, and cleaning tasks performed under supervision in a safe, professional manner. Extra precautions are required when working in patient/resident care areas, including keeping tools out of children's reach.
Applicants should have basic mechanical knowledge and competence with hand tools, meters, measuring devices, and gauges. Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is helpful.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate conditions and situations clearly are essential. The role requires flexibility to work all shifts and hours as scheduled, adherence to policies and dress code, and the ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
Independently working with minimal supervision, the candidate should have knowledge of applicable codes, specifications, and ordinances. Additional duties may include installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems, boiler operations, groundskeeping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance. On-call duties may be required.
