Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate Machine Operator to join the team based in Helena, Montana on 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm - 2:00 am).

The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, performing machining and fabrication tasks, and creating test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various tests. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex components and systems based on drawings and requirements, and collaborating with NC Programming, Quality, and Engineering teams to establish best practices for machining operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing machine setup, machining, welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks.
• Performing composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
• Assembling and installing wire harnesses and avionics products.
• Preparing test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for tests.
• Performing basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
• Applying routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance.
• Working on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience following detailed work instructions, reading blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
• At least 1 year of experience setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes.
• Ability to work any shift as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Over 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Over 3 years of experience with basic math skills.
• Over 3 years of experience in roles requiring attention to detail.

Additional Information:

• Pay range: $48,600 – $56,000; sign-on bonus up to $2,000 for external candidates.
