Job description

RIC Energy is seeking an Associate to join the M&A and Capital Markets Department at RIC Energy, a leading global renewable energy developer. This team member will be responsible for supporting the execution of RIC’s Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”) and corporate financing activities in addition to providing sophisticated and creative problem solving to meet profitability objectives. This role is highly visible within and outside the organization and requires collaboration with many different stakeholders. We are looking for someone with intellectual curiosity, high motivation, and excellent communication and process management skills.

Essential Job Functions/Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Management and Support: Provide deal support and eventual leadership from initial outreach to execution to support RIC’s growing development pipeline and IPP ambitions
  • Prepare Process Materials for M&A and Financing Transactions including, teasers, CIMs, datatapes, financial models, and datarooms
  • Strategic Financial Partnerships: Maintain ongoing relationships with potential buyers and capital providers to ensure RIC is securing competitive terms
  • Financial Modeling: Support corporate FP&A and strategic investment opportunities via structuring and management of complex financial models
  • Data Management: Manage cross-functional deal teams to ensure clarity and integrity of information presented to external parties during due diligence

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Detail-oriented and capable of driving multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to lead peers across the organization and manage other deal team members during transactions with confidence and dedication
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a global company at all levels

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred
  • 3-6 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in renewable energy capital markets, M&A, or investment banking
  • Prior experience in community solar strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of renewable energy development or policy preferred, but not required

Supplemental Pay Types:

Ability to Travel: (up to 25%)

Salary Range: $110,000-$160,000
