Job summary

Moog is seeking a Logistics Technician II for 2nd/3rd shift at our Buffalo, NY facility. You will manage stockroom, shipping, receiving and dispatch, ensuring accurate, on-time movement of materials and finished goods in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include packaging, labeling, documentation, and traceability, plus potential leadership of trainees. The role offers competitive hourly pay ($22–$25) and a comprehensive benefits package including 401k, health coverage, and tuition

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise, ability to understand and apply English verbal/written instructions and basic arithmetic.
• At least 3 years of Material Handling/Logistics experience.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System is preferred; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Package and prepare products for shipment per instructions; coordinate delivery with trucking companies.
• Ensure parts are clean before packaging and properly labeled.
• Receive products and materials from vendors and customers.
• May drive/deliver parts between plants as needed.
• Maintain traceability and documentation for shipments and stock movements.
• Support stockroom and dispatch operations to ensure timely order fulfillment.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 3 years of Material Handling/ Logistics experience.
• Previous experience in the use of a Warehouse Management System.
• SAP experience is preferred as Moog makes this transition in the coming years.
• Previous front line leadership experience as a team lead or trainer preferred.

As a Logistics Technician II , you will:

• Package and prepare products for shipment per written and/or verbal instructions; includes coordination and scheduling delivery with trucking companies.
• Ensure the cleanliness of parts prior to packaging.
• Receive products and materials from vendors, customers, and subsidiaries.
• Occasionally be asked to drive and/or deliver parts from one plant/building to another.
• Ensure proper labeling and packaging to comply with contractual requirements, appropriate documentation completion before and after shipments.
• Maintain traceability of materials, including verifying that material matches vendor documentation and marking materials with trace numbers.
• Material movement throughout the shop Inventory stocking.
• Flight critical and lot traceable part selection in high level kits in our Stockroom
• Performing shipments of US Government DFAS Military goods in our Shipping Department
• Approving machine shop production parts for stock and performing work order splits in our Dispatch department.
• May provide guidance, coaching or training to trainees.

Salary Range Transparency:
