Job description

Position: Litigation Associate

A boutique litigation firm in Pleasanton is seeking an experienced litigation associate to join their busy practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Management and handling from start to finish of assigned cases
2. Prepare and draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions
3. Draft and respond to discovery
4. Take and defend depositions
5. Attend hearings and court appearances as needed
6. Analyze claims and provide the carrier with interpretive evaluation
7. Draft detailed, comprehensive status reports to carriers/clients

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 4 years of practice and California bar admission
2. Team player with the ability to work independently
3. Experience with Microsoft-based computer programs
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Experience entering billing time and descriptions for all billable work
