Successful candidates will have strong research, writing, and litigation skills, and the ability to manage a caseload from inception through summary judgment, including general and product liability

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and PA bar license.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience; product liability experience preferred.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload through summary judgment.
• Strong pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motions experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload proactively from inception through summary judgment in PA state and federal courts.
• Handle intake and evaluation of general and product liability matters.
• Draft and file answers, pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, and other litigation documents.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including depositions and strategy.
• Conduct legal analysis, case evaluations, and develop strategic recommendations.
• Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Work with portfolio counsel and office leadership on case strategy and management.
• Assist national counsel with defense experts throughout the process.
• Prepare regular case updates and client communications.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a litigation caseload proactively from inception through the summary judgment phase in both Pennsylvania state and federal courts.
• Handle the intake and evaluation of new general liability and product liability matters.
• Draft and file answers, pleadings, written discovery, dispositive motions, and other litigation documents.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including written discovery, document review, depositions, and discovery strategy.
• Conduct comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and develop strategic recommendations.
• Take and defend depositions of key fact and expert witnesses.
• Handle all aspects of motions practice, including drafting and arguing dispositive and procedural motions as appropriate.
• Work closely with portfolio counsel and the Office Managing Partner to develop case strategy and ensure effective case management.
• Assist national counsel in identifying, working with, and preparing defense experts throughout the litigation process.
• Prepare regular case updates and communicate with clients as requested.
• Collaborate closely with paralegals and litigation support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.
• Deliver exceptional client service while contributing to the firm's continued client development efforts.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania with successful passage of the Pennsylvania Bar Examination.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of litigation experience, with demonstrated success handling general liability matters; product liability experience is preferred.
• Proven ability and desire to independently manage a caseload from inception through the summary judgment phase.
• Strong experience handling pleadings, answers, discovery, depositions, and motions practice.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with attorneys, portfolio counsel, clients, experts, and support staff.
• Verified professional references and recommendations.
• No disciplinary history, ethics violations, or sanctions from any state bar association.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest standards of professional responsibility.
