Company Overview: TBI Unlimited, LLC, a Landscape Design/Build firm based in Upper Deerfield Township, NJ, is expanding our team. We are currently seeking a full-time, in-house creative landscape designer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail in landscape design, be self-motivated, organized, and capable of adhering to deadlines. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Developing base maps and site analysis.
  2. Preparing Landscape and Hardscape designs for prospective and existing clients.
  3. Unveiling and presenting designs to clients.
  4. Ordering and acquiring materials.
  5. Coordinating project installation with the project leader.
  6. On-site layout.
  7. Client correspondence.
  8. Managing assigned accounts.
  9. Increasing sales in respective accounts.
  10. Representing the company at networking and public relations functions.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  1. This position requires a degree in Landscape Design, Horticulture, or Architecture.
  2. Knowledge of botanical nomenclature, proper plant selection, and plant characteristics.
  3. Full knowledge of hardscaping materials and construction techniques for interlocking pavers, masonry and segmental retaining walls, wet and dry-laid natural stone, stone and brick veneer, garden structures, water features, and low-voltage lighting.
  4. Understanding of site elevations and proper surface-water drainage techniques.
  5. A valid NJ Driver’s License and must be able to pass a drug test.
  6. The ability to use Dynascape, PRO Landscape, and Sketch Up.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Well-developed presentation skills.
  9. Excellent customer relations skills.
  10. Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques.
  11. Strong analysis and judgment skills.
  12. Works well in a team environment.
  13. Good planning and organizational skills.
  14. Professional appearance and manner.
