Responsibilities

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 2025!

When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.

This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking an Information Services Support Technician (Full Time)

Our ideal candidate will answer phones, determine problem resolution, assist customers providing first-call resolution (when appropriate). Open tickets and assign to an escalation point. Maintain ticket tracking software in a timely manner. Installs and sets up new computer systems for testing and loading of software. Maintains and modifies PC hardware inventory database for computer devices by user and location.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in helpdesk technology support.
  • Experience in acute care hospital environment preferred.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows Vista 7, or later).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations.
