The role targets an IP litigation associate handling patent and trade secret disputes in federal courts and at the PTAB, collaborating with partners and in-house teams on strategy, damages, and trial prep.

Ideal candidates have a JD (2019–2022) with strong IP litigation experience and an undergraduate degree in EE/CE/CS/ME/ChemE/BiomedE, with clerkship valued and CAFC interest

Qualifications

Our AmLaw 100 client is expanding a high-performing IP litigation group handling complex patent and technical trade secret disputes. The platform spans Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Washington, DC, with national trial experience and PTAB depth.

Role Summary

• Litigate patent and technical trade secret matters in federal courts and at the PTAB
• Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, take and defend depositions
• Work directly with partners, in-house counsel, and experts on strategy, damages, and trial prep
• Collaborate across offices on cutting-edge technologies spanning software, semiconductors, life sciences, and mechanical systems

Candidate Profile

• JD class years 2019–2022
• Strong academic record and substantive IP litigation experience, with patent and/or technical trade secrets focus
