Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate investment opportunities across private credit, structured capital, and special situations transactions.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, liquidity analyses, debt capacity assessments, and downside case scenarios.
• Conduct industry, market, and company due diligence.
• Analyze capital structures and assess investment risk across varying market conditions.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior investment professionals and the investment committee.
• Participate in management meetings, lender negotiations, and diligence sessions.
• Support transaction execution, including documentation review and coordination with legal, financial, and operational advisors.
• Monitor portfolio investments and prepare ongoing performance analysis.
• Assist with market mapping and sourcing initiatives across target sectors.

The firm invests across a broad range of situations including opportunistic credit, special situations, structured capital, rescue financings, and bespoke private capital transactions. With several billion dollars under management and a growing investment platform, the firm is actively seeking an Associate to join its New York investment team. This individual will work closely with senior investment professionals and play a critical role in evaluating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring complex investments.

Position Overview

The Associate will be involved throughout the entire investment lifecycle, from sourcing and diligence through execution and portfolio management. The role offers significant transaction responsibility and direct exposure to senior decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a leveraged finance, special situations, restructuring, private credit, or investment banking environment and possess strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
