We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree (Master's desirable), up to 3 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Experience using investigative databases and public records resources such as civil/criminal filings, SEC filings, and news media.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare client Deliverables (reports, briefings) for investigations with guidance from senior staff.
  • Research public records, social media, and human intelligence across jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with case teams on deliverables, status, and deadlines.
  • Deliver written and verbal briefings to case leaders and clients on findings.
  • Identify resources useful for investigative research and improve processes.
  • Mentor junior analysts and participate in training and recruiting activities.

Position Overview

As an Associate in the Risk, Investigations & Analytics (RIA) practice , you will conduct investigations involving in-depth background research on individuals and entities using U.S. and international open source materials and compile findings into written reports for a variety of clients, including law firms, financial intuitions, and corporations. As needed by the practice, the work may include in-depth due diligence investigations, as well as work on fraud and corruption matters, asset tracing, monitorships, and litigation support matters.Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare client deliverables (reports, briefings, etc.) for multi-faceted investigations with guidance from case managers and senior staff;
  • Research public records and social media and collection of human intelligence in multiple jurisdictions;
  • Coordinate with case teams on project deliverables, status and reporting deadlines;
  • Deliver written and verbal briefings to case leaders and clients on research findings;
  • Identify and develop resources useful for investigative research;
  • Foster a collegial and entrepreneurial working environment that promotes professional growth and development;
  • Assist in mentoring junior analysts, as required;
  • Participate in practice, office and corporate initiatives (training, recruiting, etc.).
Desired Qualifications

We seek candidates to support our growing investigations offerings. Ideal candidates would possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline, master's degree also desirable. Professional certifications are beneficial but not required;
  • Up to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a consulting organization;
  • Experience using investigative databases (e.g. WestLaw, LexisNexis, Factiva, Accurint, etc.), as well as experience working with a range of public record resources (e.g. civil and criminal proceedings, SEC filings, property records, bankruptcies, tax liens, news media, social media, corporate filings, regulatory filings and sanctions, etc.)
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and effective oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage multiple workstreams, be attentive to detail, and meet timely deadlines;
  • Proven experience identifying adverse issues, evaluating sources, and determining the completeness and accuracy of public records;
  • A high level of initiative and curiosity, a strong work ethic and dedication to quality.

Work Location Flexibility

Salary and other compensation

A good-faith estimate of the annual base salary range for this position is $95,500 - $105,000. Stating pay within this range may vary based on factors such as education level, experience, skills, geographic location, market conditions, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for additional bonus incentive compensation. CRA offers a comprehensive benefits package, subject to eligibility requirements, which may include: medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; life and disability insurance; paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays); paid parental leave; wellness programs and employee assistance resources; and commuter benefits.
