Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Associate Inventory Control Analyst to join our team at Oil-Dri Corporation of America. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, and supporting our team in achieving optimal inventory management practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with established procedures
- Support the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels and manage discrepancies
- Prepare inventory reports and maintain organized records of inventory transactions
- Identify areas for improvement in inventory processes and recommend solutions
- Assist in reporting weekly inventory variance metrics to plant management
- Perform data entry for stock movements, adjustments, and transactions
- Help reconcile inventory discrepancies between system records and physical counts
- Assist in planning, conducting, and recording cycle counts and physical inventories
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations related to inventory handling
- Support internal and external inventory audits
- Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory or financial reporting requirements
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, procurement, and shipping teams to ensure inventory accuracy
Education & Qualifications
- Associates degree (required), Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or related operations.
Skills & Abilities
- Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems (Oracle JDE) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational, communication, and basic analytical skills
