Job summary

VF Corporation is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store, and dispatch goods in a distribution center. You will verify shipments, record stock movements, and help maintain accurate inventory data.

Under supervision, you will handle loading/unloading, operate basic equipment, and support day-to-day tasks to meet service levels and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills required.

Principal Accountabilities:

Sub Job Family Description: Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse. Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules). Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.

Under direct supervision: Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution centre, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent education; Associate’s degree preferred
• One year of experience preferred

Knowledge & Application:

• Basic level of education will be required; reading, writing, and basic numeracy
• Required to follow simple instructions
• No formal occupational training required
• Non-office based roles may operate some simple equipment under guidance and instruction

• Problems encountered will be defined, repetitive, and routine with a solution readily available
• All nonstandard problems will be referred to supervisor or more experienced incumbent
• Solutions are obvious or there are a finite number of clear-cut alternatives
• Solutions can be reached and applied immediately

• Interaction with others is limited to own team with little requirement for internal or external contact
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills required
• Displays common courtesy and politeness and uses basic verbal skills

Hiring Range : $17.82 USD - $22.27 USD per hour
