Job description

At Collective Design, we are more than just a company - we are a family that breathes life into the art of luxury home design. Renowned for our exquisite architecture, interior design, and furnishings, we have made our mark in the Rocky Mountains and are rapidly expanding our reach across the nation. Our mantra, “Enhancing the Lives of Others”, is at the core of everything we do, from our groundbreaking designs to our deep, personal connections with each client. We invite you to be a part of our journey as we redefine luxury living, one home at a time.

Not everyone is meant to work here and that’s okay. Pinnacle is a place for people who take pride in their work, who bring their whole selves to the table, and who believe excellence and optimism aren’t simple acts, but daily habits. We’re looking for people who lean into challenges, own their outcomes, believe in the possible, and show up for their community.

If you’re looking for a job, you’ll find thousands.

If you’re looking for a place to grow, contribute, and push your own limits, you might belong here.

The question is simple: Are you someone who thrives where expectations are high, accountability is real, courage is celebrated, and relationships run deep? If so, we’d love to meet you.

The Role

The Associate Designer is an integral part of the project team, contributing to both the creative and technical aspects of design. You will support concept development, produce detailed documentation, coordinate vendors and specifications, and help ensure that each project is delivered seamlessly, from idea to installation. This position is ideal for a designer who enjoys balancing creative problem-solving with structured, detail-oriented work in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Documentation: Produce and maintain accurate floor plans, elevations, schedules, and specifications that clearly communicate design intent and support project execution.
  • Concept & Visualization: Participate in the creative development of projects - contributing ideas, renderings, and material selections that align with the design vision.
  • Sourcing & Specification: Research and document furnishings, fixtures, and finishes that balance aesthetic goals with practical considerations such as budget, performance, and lead times.
  • Technical Accuracy: Ensure all drawings and documentation meet firm standards for quality, clarity, and constructability.
  • Procurement Coordination: Track orders, vendor communications, and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
  • Presentation Development: Support the creation of client-facing presentations that are visually compelling and professionally polished.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with Lead Designers to maintain project momentum, communicate updates, and uphold quality at every stage.
  • Onsite Support: Participate in installations, punch lists, and final styling to help bring each space to life with precision and care.
Who You Are
  • Creative & Analytical: You enjoy design exploration but also value order, structure, and follow-through.
  • Detail-Oriented: You notice the small things that make a big difference, from technical accuracy to material alignment.
  • Organized & Reliable: You manage tasks efficiently and maintain consistency across multiple projects and timelines.
  • Collaborative & Professional: You work well in a team setting, communicate clearly, and represent the firm with poise.
  • Solution-Focused: You anticipate challenges, think strategically, and approach problems with a balanced mix of creativity and logic.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in residential interior design or similar project-based design support.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and related documentation tools.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and project needs with confidence and clarity.
  • This role requires a minimum of three full days per week working in our Frisco office, with occasional travel to project sites in Summit County, Vail, and Steamboat Springs. Mileage reimbursement applies from the office, not from a home location.
Why You’ll Love This Role
  • Work alongside a talented, passionate team that values quality, beauty, and connection.
  • Gain exposure to luxury residential projects and the full design process, from vision to installation.
  • Be part of a studio that invests in your growth and empowers you to take the next step in your design career.
Why Join Us
  • Award-Winning Culture - Be part of a people-first company that’s recognized for excellence. Our culture is what sets us apart - we support each other, celebrate wins together, and push for continuous growth.
  • Real World Impact - Work on meaningful projects that directly contribute to the success of established brands in luxury home building, design, property management and hospitality. See your efforts make a tangible difference.
  • Hands-On Experience - Gain valuable experience in email marketing and AI-driven strategies, sharpening your skills with some of the best.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary starting at $72,000 annually with additional volume-based incentives, based on experience & skill level
  • 3 weeks of Annual Paid Time Off.
  • Make a difference in the community with 16 Paid Volunteer hours, aligning with our ethos.
  • Comprehensive Medical and Wellness Benefits including a 100% Employer Paid Health Insurance plan, with options for Dental and Vision.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Program, allowing you to be part of our company’s success.
  • Annual Team Trip To Mexico – Strengthen team bonds while creating unforgettable experiences.
  • Tools and Technology Reimbursement, including a $500 annual tool reimbursement, a $50 monthly cell phone reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement when applicable.
