Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

• Perform on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and ancillary equipment
• Confirm site readiness, pre-installation requirements, infrastructure, and equipment inventory
• Communicate installation issues to internal project teams and follow up on resolution
• Install associated cabling and deliver appropriate video signals according to quality, safety, state, industry, and international standards
• Program, test, and inspect video integration sources according to design specifications
• Perform and document functional and quality checks before project sign-off
• Maintain accurate records of equipment installations and related activities
• Complete daily update reports and provide project updates to stakeholders
• Coordinate with Quality to ensure regulatory and operational compliance
• Coordinate and book travel arrangements and manage daily schedules
• Maintain project stakeholder relationships and provide basic operational training to customers
• Manage assigned tools and equipment inventory
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and service requests
• Communicate project status and progress updates to customers
• Collaborate with sales, project engineering, project management, field service, electricians, plumbers, general contractors, and hospital staff
• Adhere to customer and Stryker safety policies and standards
• Complete PPE training and advocate safe work practices
• Maintain current product, quality, and process standards through Stryker’s Learning Management System

Requirements

• 0–2 years related technical experience (telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device, hospital biomed)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferred but not required
• 0–2 years technical experience or comparable skill set
• Ability to interpret, understand, and install equipment according to complex wire diagrams and CAD drawings
• Ability to understand infrastructure, electrical, and network requirements
• Ability to learn basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate PC and application skills
• Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Must maintain a state-issued driver’s license and safely operate a motor vehicle
• Must be able to travel via commercial airline
• Must be able to climb ladders, work within confined spaces, and above ceiling
• Must be able to lift and move equipment according to the stated physical requirements
• Must be able to communicate effectively via cell phone, text, and email
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, independent environment and exercise good judgment
