Geon Technologies in Columbia, MD is seeking a fully cleared Information System Security Officer to support an information assurance program. You will propose, implement, and enforce information security policies and maintain the security posture of the information system.

Requirements include 1–6 years ISSO experience, DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher, active TS/SCI with poly, and a bachelor’s degree (or 4 years ISSO in lieu).

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of ISSO experience on programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Experience in at least two areas: security tools, hardware/software security, protocols, and encryption techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree or four years ISSO experience in lieu; DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher is required.
• Active TS/SCI with a polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems and programs.
• Assist with management of security aspects and day-to-day security operations.
• Evaluate security solutions meeting security requirements for processing classified information.

Qualifications

• One (1) to Six (6) year experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Experience is to include at least two (2) of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required. Four (4) years experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Geon Technologies provides wage ranges in accordance with the Maryland Wage Range Transparency law. Paywithin the range will be decided by the company in its sole discretion and will be based on several factors including but not limited to experience and/or other qualifications. The projected pay range for this position is $125,000- $165,000.
