Job description

Zinnia is the leading technology platform for accelerating life and annuities growth. With innovative enterprise solutions and data insights, Zinnia simplifies the experience of buying, selling, and administering insurance products. All of which enables more people to protect their financial futures. Our success is driven by a commitment to three core values: be bold, team up, deliver value – and that we do. Zinnia has over $180 billion in assets under administration, serves 100+ carrier clients, 2500 distributors and partners, and over 2 million policyholders.

WHO YOU ARE:

Life Insurance Sales at Policygenius... Tired of cold calling and building a book of business before applying your insurance subject matter expertise? Our Life Insurance Sales Associate role is on the front lines of the Policygenius customer experience: managing all inbound leads via phone for prospective life insurance customers, and ensuring they get the coverage they need (and feel good about the process)! Our sales team thrives on collaboration, creative competitions, and thoughtful communication with customers as we drive a positive, tech-enhanced experience in an industry typically known for being old-school and paper-based. With high earnings potential for our top performers and an incredibly collaborative environment, this team is perfect for someone who is competitive but eager to have a supportive team around them.

Base salary for a successful applicant in this role is expected to be $45,000-$50,000 per year. Top performers can earn $175,000 or more in total compensation after training. Employees can also expect generous benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as location, experience and expertise.

Individuals who reside in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana, New York, Nevada, and Rhode Island are not eligible for this remote role.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective customers via the phone
  • Demystify the industry jargon and make life insurance easy to understand
  • Use a consultative sales approach to guide customers through the application process and fulfill their needs via a full suite of term and permanent life insurance product offerings
  • Work closely with sales teammates to solve complex client problems
  • Continuously improve your performance in a metrics-driven environment, directly impacting your earnings
  • Have access to consistent 1:1 coaching, ongoing learning and development opportunities, and mentorship
  • Ensure prospective customers receive unparalleled service

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • You have prior experience successfully selling a variety of life insurance products, including both term and permanent life insurance. This is essential to your success in this role.
  • You have an active life insurance license
  • You are self-motivated, ambitious, and excited to continue to grow in your career in a fast paced sales environment
  • You’re eager to find yourself among a diverse group of competitive peers, always learning from each other
  • You have a will to succeed in a target-driven environment, with substantial incentives based on various KPIs
  • You work well with others, solving problems on the fly using Slack, Zoom, Five9 and other communication methods
  • Your family and friends would describe you as a natural conversationalist - you keep the conversation flowing and are a pleasure for our clients to speak to!
  • You welcome any and all feedback - you’re looking to improve your skills, and recognize the value of hands-on managers who care deeply about your growth
  • You are open to working occasional weekends and evenings obviously from the comfort of your own home!

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
